Designed as a modern evolution of the classic S-style platform, the Lir combines lightweight construction, refined ergonomics and high-end craftsmanship with an exceptionally versatile specification. The lightweight ash body is paired with a wenge top and finished in a matt open-pore acrylic finish that highlights the natural character of the timber while maintaining a fast, organic feel. Sculpted arm and belly carves, alongside an ergonomic access neck joint with ferrules and threaded inserts, provide excellent comfort and unrestricted upper fret access.
The highly figured quartersawn birdseye maple neck is reinforced with carbon fibre rods and fitted with a dual action truss rod for exceptional long-term stability. A subtle, micro-angle headstock increases break angle over the nut for improved string pressure and tuning consistency, while the handcut bone nut and premium hardware complete a highly refined playing experience.
The multiscale 25.5"–24.75" layout with a neutral 9th fret delivers balanced string tension and improved ergonomics across the neck, complemented by a compound 10"–14" radius, blind-slot stainless steel frets and Jescar 55095 narrow tall fretwire. Mother of pearl dot inlays and a dynamic asymmetrical neck carve transitioning from a soft V into a modern C profile create an instrument that feels both familiar and highly responsive.
Hardware includes Gotoh SG-381 MG-T locking tuners and a custom bubinga multiscale string-through bridge fitted with stainless steel saddles and 10.8mm spacing for precise feel and articulation. Electronically, the guitar is loaded with a set of custom handwound Awen ’57 single-coil pickups, controlled via premium CTS electronics with dedicated bridge tone control, shared neck/middle tone circuit and a push/pull bridge engage function for expanded switching options beyond a traditional 5-way layout.
Weighing approximately 3.5kg (7.7lbs), the guitar is set up with NYXL 10–46 strings and includes a hard foam case with UK shipping included.
